DILASA Palliative Care Centre is the first palliative care centre in the state of Goa.
- DILASA offers Out-Patient consultations, In-Patient admissions, and Home Visits for patients requiring Palliative Care and End-Of-Life care.
- It is located in the serene surroundings of a hillock, Farmagudi, located on the outskirts of Ponda, built on land offered by the Communidade of Bandora.
- It is run by IMA Ponda Charitable Trust.
- DILASA has been operational since August 2019, serving patients and their families.
- DILASA has been built with donations from donors from all walks of life. Dr. Rajanikant Usgaonker, a philanthropist, is the major donor who helped this project to see the light of the day. Therefore, DILASA bears his name.
- The operational expenditure of DILASA is partly funded by donations, partly borne by the patients. The more the donations, the less the financial burden on the patients.
- DILASA has won the Best Community project award among IMA branches all over India in the years 2015, 2019 and 2021.

- The IMA Ponda Charitable Trust is a registered autonomous body, comprising Life members of Indian Medical Association, Ponda Branch (IMA Ponda). It came into existence in 2005.
- The Trust is governed by its own constitution.
- The Trust was setup by Life members of Indian Medical Association, Ponda Branch (IMA Ponda) to carry out social welfare projects.
- All Life members of Indian Medical Association, Ponda Branch (IMA Ponda) can contest to be the Trustees of the IMA Ponda Charitable Trust
- The Board of Trustees comprises doctors who are Life Members from Indian Medical Association, Ponda Branch (IMA Ponda) (elected and ex-officio members) .

About IMA Ponda
- Indian Medical Association, Ponda Branch (IMA Ponda), is one of the seven branches of Indian Medical Association in the state of Goa. The branch is 150 members strong.
- It has been in existence since 20thOctober 1974. It is now 48 years old.
- The members of IMA Ponda have been active, not only in conducting regular sessions or updates related to medicine, but have always led from the front in carrying out community activities and working in the field of Preventive Health Care.
- Regular health camps are being conducted over the years to detect Diabetes, Hypertension, Anemia, Cataract, Blood Group Detection, Cancer awareness and detection, Eye check-up, Gynecological problems, Maternal and Child Health related activities, Prevention of Malaria and other vector-borne diseases, Cardiology, Blood Donation Camps, Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery camps.
- Regular Health Talks are being delivered on Breast feeding, Anemia Prevention, Immunization, Malaria and other vector-borne diseases, TB and Leprosy control, HIV & AIDS, Ergonomics, First Aid, Diabetes, Hypertension, Management of Lifestyle Diseases, Hygiene & Health, Occupational Health and Industrial Medicine, Cancer detection, Caring for the elderly, and on various other topics.
- The branch has an active Disaster Management Cell.
- The activities of the branch have been appreciated and recognized both at the state and national level.
